KN95 Respirator Mask
What is the difference between KN95 and N95 respirator masks?
KN95 and N95 respirator masks have the same level of protection, they only follow the testing standards of different countries. KN95 masks follow Chinese standards, N95 masks follow US standards. Both of them are not less than 95% in protection against particles of 0.3 microns such as viruses and bacteria.
Do you need a Plastic Exhalation Breathing Valve?
N95 and KN95 are divided into two types: with plastic exhalation valve / without plastic exhalation valve.
People with chronic respiratory disease, heart disease, or other diseases with dyspnea symptoms may find more difficult to breathe with a KN95 or N95 respirator mask, so using a respirator mask with an exhalation valve can make their breath easier and help reduce heat accumulation.
The absence of a plastic exhalation valve does not affect the breathing protection of the wearer. Briefly, N95 and KN95 mask with an exhalation valve can protect the wearer but not the people around. If you are a carrier of the virus, choose a mask without an exhalation valve and do not spread the virus. If you want to maintain a sterile environment, do not use mask with an exhalation valve because the wearer may exhale bacteria or viruses.
